Just heard a news report from the Associated Press ...
They devoted nearly 30 seconds on a report that President Obama took decisive action and killed a fly.
My God! Our Republic is truly doomed.

President Flimflam thought it would be cool to send pictures of Air Force One buzzing Manhattan. Of course, his narcissism blinded him to the fact that New Yorkers have a tragic history with low flying jumbo jets over their city.
As everyone knows by now, President Flimflam wants to be loved by all people as much as he loves himself. So he sent his Press Secretary, Robert Gibbs (shortened from Goebbels, then Gibbels?), out to tell his media water boys "The One" knew nothing about this.
The media water boys (and girls) dutifully went out into the country to sell us the hogwash all that some low level staffer commissioned this foolish flight. To Gibbels, we should all believe it's completely plausible a clerk would have authority to send a 747 flying low over Manhattan with an F-15 fighter escort. Yeah, right.
Once the reality of the situation sunk into the Narcissist-In-Chief's numb skull, the White House threw some poor military liaison under bus to divert responsibility from President Flimflam.
Maybe the White House should have just used Photoshop to get the image they wanted. The folks over at Citizen Direct apparently know how to do it:

During the campaign, President Flimflam promised veterans he would be their ally, even dedicating a part of his campaign site to woo, and deceive, the vets. They even published a slick PDF touting their support.
Now comes the flimflam.
In an article on the American Legion web site, we've learned that President Flimflam intends to charge the private insurance held by veterans to cover the costs of their wartime injuries.
Many active duty and guard members keep private insurance to cover themselves and families for expenses not covered by their military medical coverage.
What do you think will happen if this fool gets his way?
Insurance companies, facings $Millions in losses for wartime injuries, will simply raise rates on veterans to the point they can no longer afford private insurance for their families. Or, they'll exclude more illnesses, like psychological services. Or, they'll charge everyone else for what is morally a government responsibility.
Small business owners, already struggling under President Flimflam's anti-business policies, will face a sad choice: hire a wounded vet and watch their company premiums skyrocket or do the safe thing and don't hire the wounded vet. Even worse, to be extra safe, they may just choose to avoid hiring anyone in the Guard or Reserves.
Even the ultra-socialist, New Dealer Roosevelt didn't try this nonsense. What do you think the reaction of the American people would have been if he had done this in WW II? Honestly, I don't think revolution would have been too strong of a word.
How much does President Flimflam hope to gain by all this?
How much money does this guy plan to raise from the wounded vets insurance premiums after already wasting trillions of dollars on bank bailouts and phony stimulus, hundreds of billions of dollars in a bill with nearly 9,000 pork-filled earmarks, and many trillions more in wasteful spending promised?
Exactly what fortunes does he plan to generate out of blood and sacrifice of our wounded veterans, their families, and employers?
Oh, a measly $540 million. After wasting trillions of taxpayer dollars, President Flimflam will raise only about 1/2 of a $Billion.
Joe Biden wasted nearly three times that subsidizing his government-run railroad, Amtrak. Harry Reid wasted 16 times that amount with his $8 Billion earmark for a rail line between Disneyland and Las Vegas that reid slipped into the Spendulous bill in the dark of the night. (Still, President Flimflam assured the nation there were no earmarks in the Spendulous bill.)
No matter.
President Flimflam has an insatiable appetite for spending - even if it means taking the money indirectly from wounded warriors.
That is big money out of the pockets of our wounded vets, but small potatoes to the power hungry, big spending politicians in Washington, D.C.
To pile any additional burden directly or indirectly on the proud men and women who have already sacrificed so much is a grievous shirking of our nation's duty to these heroes and a moral abomination.
President Flimflam must really hate our troops. Or perhaps he merely loves bailing out banks and dishonest home buyers more.
Maybe the severe physical and mental injuries suffered by men and women in combat just don't seem all that significant to our nation's Community-Organizer-In-Chief?
This man is pathetic and dangerous to core principles of our nation.
My God! I thought it was impossible despise President Flimflam and his administration today more than I did yesterday. It's not impossible; today I do.
